EVERSE-African Community Engagement Workshop
Date: 14 April 2026 @ 08:00 - 12:30
Timezone: UTC
Software created to address the needs of researchers is playing an increasingly important role in many domains. Researchers and engineers seek to improve the quality of their code, to learn new skills and to obtain recognition for their work.
The EVERSE project is pooling the knowledge of best practices for research software quality, targeting diverse research communities initially in Europe. It seeks to identify the tools, metrics and training available in related topics. It also seeks to improve how work on research software is recognised, working towards having it valued as a first-level contribution to research.
The goal of this event is to share experience across continents on the challenges faced in creating research software and the ways to tackle them, and foster both knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
